Share the Promise

A night to support need-based tuition assistance at Carolina Day School

Share The Promise in partnership with Rosemary Beech

Save the date for our 2020 Share the Promise event, which takes place on Saturday, April 25. The evening begins on campus with a full-community party and fun program. Afterwards, guests who choose the full-evening dinner option attend one of the many individual dinner parties hosted around Asheville by CDS families in their homes. It's a one-of-a-kind event and unique community opportunity!

100% of Share the Promise proceeds support need-based student financial assistance at CDS.

A healthy financial assistance program both strengthens our school's financial position and helps retain current students. It also assists with recruiting those new students who will make the best matches for our academic and school community of excellence. Save the date—you won't want to miss this special evening!

You might be wondering what it's all about... What happens? What makes this evening so unique and exceptional?

Margaret and Josh Gibbs were new to the Carolina Day community in 2016 during the last Share the Promise event. In this video message, they talk about their 2016 Share the Promise experience and what they recall what was the biggest surprise for them about the event. Since 2016, the Gibbs have grown to love the event and cause, and they are now volunteering as our 2020 Share the Promise Chairs.

A healthy, robust Tuition Assistance program benefits everyone. In this video, Upper School science teacher Bill Wolfe shares a teacher's perspective on how tuition assistance raises the bar for academic excellence in the classroom.

When you can bring students in from really diverse backgrounds—geographically and socio-economically—you're going to get a mix of thinkers who can sharpen other students that are already here. BILL WOLFE, UPPER SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER
