The School Day

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 25, 2026, when we will begin following this schedule.

School Hours – Earliest Arrival, Start Time*, and Dismissal

  • Lower School (LS) JK–5: Arrive as early as 7:45; class starts promptly at 8:00; dismissal at 3:00.

  • Key Lower School (KLS) Grades 2–5: Arrive as early as 7:45; class starts promptly at 8:05; dismissal at 2:45

  • Key Middle School (KMS) Grades 6–8: Arrive as early as 8:00; class starts promptly at 8:10; dismissal at 3:25
  • Middle School (MS) Grades 6–8: Arrive as early as 8:00; class starts promptly at 8:10; dismissal at 3:25
  • Upper School (US) Grades 9–12: Arrive as early as 7:45; class starts promptly at 8:30; dismissal at 3:40

*If arriving late, students must check with the administrative assistant in each division.

To support families with early schedules, complimentary Before School Care is available beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the Nash Athletic Center for students in Lower School, Key Lower School, Middle School, and Key Middle School. (Learn more about Before and After School.)

Carline identification cards (to ensure quick and authorized pick up) will be sent home with your child.

The following are the areas of campus in which students are to be dropped off and picked up. See our Campus map for reference.

  • Early Childhood Education students (Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten) are to be dropped off at the After Care building.
  • Lower School students in grades 1–5 are to be dropped off between Love Hall and Nash Athletic Center.  
  • Key Lower School students are to be dropped off in front of the Upper School, and are picked up from the Key drop-off/pick-up circle.
  • Middle & Key Middle School students are to be dropped off between Love Hall and Nash Athletic Center.
  • Upper School students are to be dropped off in front of the Upper School. Student drivers park in the North Lot.
