Join us for an eye-opening dyslexia simulation that lets participants experience some of the challenges and frustrations faced by children with language-based learning differences. At the end of the simulation, we will highlight some of the accommodations that help ease this frustration both at the Key School and when students transition elsewhere. Feel free to invite friends and family to share this empowering and enlightening experience with you. Free event; please RSVP.

Parent Topics 2025-2026
At Carolina Day School, we believe that guiding students to be thoughtful, responsible digital citizens is just as important as teaching them to read, write, and problem-solve. Digital citizenship means knowing how to use technology with integrity, creativity, and care—whether communicating online, researching responsibly, or protecting one’s digital footprint.
Nationally-acclaimed Addiction and Prevention Specialist Kriya Lendzion will share her practical and empowering model that blends cutting-edge science with real-world parenting, providing proven strategies and actionable tools to help our children develop addiction-resistance in this increasingly addictive world.
Youth screen use is a hot topic these days, as growing studies reveal its impacts on child and teen mental and physical health, social relationships, safety, brain growth, and more. Addiction Prevention Specialist and Parenting Coach Kriya Lendzion joins us for a discussion on how to create and maintain healthy screen guidelines for our children of all ages while decreasing family technology battles.
More topics to come in 2026—stay tuned!
