Welcome Wildcat Day

9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.: Middle, Key Middle, and Upper School New Student Orientations

  • For all new Middle School (MS), Key Middle (KMS) and Upper School (US)  students.

    • All 6th graders and new MS & KMS students joining us in 7th and 8th grades (required)

    • All 9th graders and US students joining us new in 10th and 11th grades (required)

  • Parents can relax and mingle in our “welcome lounge” in Alumni Gym while students are in orientation.  The CDS Spirit Store will also be open during this time.

  • All new MS/KMS/US students in orientation and their parents are also invited to stay for the optional all-school  “Open House” portion that follows.

Please note: The morning orientation is exclusively for students new to MS/KMS/US. Lower and Key Lower School, returning 7th and 8th grade, and returning 10th-12th grade students and families are invited to join us at the all-school “open house” starting at 10:30 a.m.

 

10:30 am –11:30 am: All-School Back to School Open House (optional)

  • Students and parents in all grades, all divisions are welcome to come to campus. This is an “open house” opportunity for everyone and is entirely optional.
  • Parents and students interested in having time to come in the buildings, see classrooms and lockers, take pictures, and casually visit with teachers and each other, are encouraged to come to the Open House as Tuesday, August 20th is a regular school day, and therefore there is not as much time or opportunity that day.
  • Refreshments and gathering space for parents and students will be provided in the “welcome lounge” in Alumni Gym, and the CDS Spirit Store will be open for shopping!

 

The first day of school for everyone is Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
