Camp Bell at Carolina Day School
Camp Bell at Carolina Day School is an active day camp inviting children from the Western North Carolina community to learn and grow while having fun creating and fostering friendships.
Give your budding scientist or conservationist an immersive experience in nature. Treat your child's imagination to a week of superhero, fairy play, or field games. Camp Bell offers a wide variety of camps and activities from which to choose. Join us this summer for your next great adventure!

Inside Out Trips - Shining Rock and Slick Rock (rising grades 6–8)
Join us for 5-day trips in July to Shining Rock and Slick Rock led by Inside Out, a comprehensive education organization offering exceptional experiential education and group opportunities in an outdoor setting.
Outward Bound (rising grades 9–12)
Through a unique partnership with Outward Bound, Carolina Day School students in rising grades 9–12 have the opportunity to participate in an Outward Bound course. Learn more.
Classes with Silver River Center for Chair Caning
This summer, students can learn the art of caning that dates back to ancient Egypt! Or spend a fun afternoon with your child working together and learning the fun and functional tradition of Shaker Tape Weaving. These Camp Bell summer programs are taught by Brandy Clements, a 4th-generation chair caner and co-owner of Silver River Center for Chair Caning. Held in late June, Camp Bell offers student classes (for grades 6–12) and adult/youth classes (for ages 7+ with an adult).
Join Camp Bell for exciting environmental education and leadership camps in partnership with Camp Muddy Sneakers!
Nature Explorer Camp (rising grades 1–3) engages campers with awesome outdoor games and crafts as they delve into nearby ecosystems.
Trail Blazers (rising grades 4–6) inspires curiosity, a connection with nature, staying active, and cultivating a sense of stewardship by hands-on experiential learning with full-day field expeditions.
Leadership camp (rising grades 7–8) is designed to help campers develop an awareness of their capabilities and how they can make a difference in our community.
Volleyball Day Camps
Whether you’re new to the sport or want to take your skills to the next level, you’ll have a blast! Led by CDS Head Coach Kristin Peppel.
