Carolina Day School announced today that Glen Taylor has been hired to serve as Head Varsity Coach and Boys Basketball Program director for the 2018-19 season, overseeing all boys basketball play from grades K through 12.

“I am both honored and humbled to be tapped for this position. Athletics—basketball in particular—have been a lifelong passion of mine. I am thrilled to have an opportunity to work with young men across all the grade levels at Carolina Day School. The boys basketball program will be guided by the pillars of selflessness, perseverance, passion, and confidence. Collectively, we will work to be outstanding ambassadors for our school and make our community proud,” says Taylor.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Taylor’s 25-year-long career in independent school basketball—ranging from work in boarding and day schools in both North Carolina and Virginia—is exceptionally strong.

“We are excited to have Glen in this position and look forward to continued growth within our basketball program,” says Carolina Day School Athletic Director Steve Henry.
