Join Carolina Day School at the annual CDS Golf Tournament October 12
Carolina Day School (CDS) invites the community to participate in this year’s annual Golf Tournament, which brings alumni, current families, teachers, local business partners, and friends from the community together for a fun fall outing. Proceeds from the tournament directly support the students and programs of Carolina Day School.
The tournament will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Reems Creek. The fee is $125 per golfer or $500 per team. To register or to learn about sponsorship opportunities, visit CarolinaDay.org/GolfTournament.
The Golf Tournament kicks off Homecoming for Carolina Day School, which includes on October 13 a varsity soccer game; music, face painting, and inflatables; the induction of athletes into the Hall of Fame; and special events for alumni. For details about this year’s Homecoming events visit CarolinaDay.org/Homecoming.
This year, CDS Homecoming also includes two special anniversaries. Thirty years ago, Asheville Country Day School (ACDS) and St. Genevieve/Gibbons Hall (SG-GH) merged to create Carolina Day School, and twenty years ago Carolina Day School created Key School as a fourth division, specializing in the Orton-Gillingham multisensory approach for students with language-based learning differences. Since then, more than 1,000 students have graduated from CDS, joining the Alumni Association along with thousands of their predecessor-school peers.
Homecoming is a time for the entire CDS community to celebrate their connection with the school and each other. Carolina Day School invites everyone to join in the Homecoming fun and wish a Happy 30th to CDS and Happy 20th to Key School!
