Helene Recovery: Carolina Day School Reopening & Community Support
In light of the recent crisis that has impacted our region, Carolina Day School remains dedicated to supporting our families, staff, and the wider Asheville community. This page provides the latest information on the reopening of our campus and outlines how we can help one another through this challenging time.
Latest Reopening Updates
(updated Oct. 18, 2024)
- We are returning to a regular school day schedule starting Monday, October 21st; carline and division bell times resume to their regular schedule times. Regular Before Care will resume starting at 7:30am in the Nash Athletic Center. Regular After Care hours of 3-6pm will also resume.
- Please be assured that we understand some families may still need the extra time in the morning to get to school. We are not tracking tardies next week and students will not be penalized or fall behind for arriving later than normal bell times.
- CDS families and employees should check their CDS email for the full update from Head of School Brett Fuhrman sent on October 18, 2024.
- Answers to many FAQs about reopening can be found below.
