OCTOBER 14, 2019 Wildcats in state playoffs in tennis and soccer! Congratulations to the Carolina Day School girls tennis team and varsity boys soccer team! This weekend, both received invites to the 2019 North Carolina Independent Schools State Championship Tournaments.
The girls tennis team received the number two seed in the state and will host a second-round match on Friday, October 18 against the winner of High Point Christian Academy and Cary Christian School. (The time for this match has yet to be determined.) This is the highest seed the team has received over the last decade, and their seed comes on the heels of their recent CAA Conference Championship win over Asheville School. The 'Cats went undefeated within the conference.
The boys soccer team received an at-large bid to the tournament and will host cross-town CAA rival Asheville Christian Academy in the first round. This match will be held Tuesday, October 15 at 4:30 p.m. at Carolina Day's Sgro Athletic Complex. If the 'Cats advance, they will play Concord First Assembly Academy on Thursday, October 17 at 4:30 p.m. in Concord, NC.
Asheville's co-ed independent day school, where inclusive community, inspired teaching, and innovative program create a journey of excellence for each student.
