Upcoming Alumni Events

Join us for the Alumni Association Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 9th in the Oreck Library at Carolina Day School. All alumni, including graduates and non-graduates of Asheville Country Day School, St. Genevieve-of-the-Pines, Gibbons Hall, St. Genevieve - Gibbons Hall, and Carolina Day School are welcome to attend. Please register to join us for the meeting. If you are not able to attend in person, a secure link will be sent to you to join via Zoom. We will be discussing all updates at this meeting including the revamped Alumni Advisory Board, upcoming events, and we will be voting on our new representatives and Alumni Advisory Board Chair. 

Every year we ask for our alumni to unite in a tradition of generosity by contributing to the Annual Fund with passion and pride. The Alumni Days of Giving are scheduled for May 13-17, 2024. Please consider making a donation independently, or make a gift as part of a graduating class to honor your legacy and help strengthen the future education of our CDS wildcats. SAVE THE DATE! Homecoming 2024 has been announced! Join us on Thursday, October 10th as we celebrate together. We will be having all the usual events, Fall Family Festival, the Past Faculty and Staff Lunch, and the Alumni Association Awards. For more information email alumni@carolinaday.org. 

Homecoming and the Alumni Association Awards

We had a wonderful evening celebrating our 2023 Alumni Association Awards recipients on Friday, October 6. It was a great way to conclude all of the 2023 Homecoming festivities that day. Congratulations to Dave Johnson ACDS '86 and April Dockery '96 who accepted their awards surrounded by friends and family at the special ceremony. And, a special thanks to Kareen Ogle who accepted the Artists Hall of Fame Award for her late cousin, Mr. Bob Henson (1939-2012). The CDS community has so much to be thankful for and we continue to be amazed by all the accomplishments of our alumni, teachers, coaches, and friends.

Ivy Building Reunion

We are still reminiscing about the Ivy Building Reunion held last September during Homecoming week. Many of our SGP, GH, and SG-GH attendees are still talking about the magical evening held in the old school auditorium. There are so many great stories and memories stemming from the glorious building and the campus of St. Genevieve-of-the-Pines. We hope to host another gathering in that beautiful gymnasium soon.
