Alumni Advisory Board

The Alumni Advisory Board is an active group of 15-20 alumni representing CDS and our predecessor schools. These volunteers and leaders serve the Alumni Association in the following ways:

Represent the board as a respected liaison of Carolina Day School
Build and maintain positive relationships between the Association and their respective classmates
Conduct outreach with fellow alumni and classmates resulting in updated contacts, shared stories, and celebrated achievements
Support all service and philanthropic initiatives that benefit the school

Grady Bradshaw '13 has been named the new Alumni Association President!

Grady Bradshaw attended Carolina Day School for ten years (2003-2013). He was a student athlete and loved playing soccer at CDS where he was honored as a CAA Player of the Year (2011 & 2012 season), received a Western Carolina Athletic Award making second team in 2011 and first team in 2012, and was honored with two NCISAA All State recognitions (2011 & 2012 season). Grady went on to play Division 1 soccer at University of North Carolina Asheville (UNCA) while earning a bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness Promotion in 2017. He still loves soccer! Grady played for the Asheville City Soccer Club on their pro team during their inaugural year and has spent some time coaching with HFC. He is now working in Asheville as a realtor with Preferred Properties.

Grady reconnected with CDS this past fall when he shared interest in becoming a community partner and engaging with the Alumni Office. As an Asheville native and area athlete he wants to find ways to give back. Both CDS and UNCA have set him up for success and he has a lot of gratitude. Grady has jumped right in and gotten involved by playing basketball on the winning alumni team at Holiday Hoopla and attended and networked at the recent local alumni event. Grady has described himself as a hard working entrepreneur and independent contractor, a coach, and a mentor. Grady aspires to increase local alumni engagement and share his love of the school with the greater Asheville community.
