Welcome Wildcats Day — Monday, August 24, 2026.Join us as we kick off the 2026–27 school year with a special morning designed to welcome new students and reconnect our community, followed by a special Welcome Party & Community Cookout to welcome new Head of School Ben Farrell. 
Uniforms are not required for this day. Parents, enjoy coffee in front of the Spirit Store.  10:30–11:30 AMAll-School Back-to-School Open House (Optional)Students and parents in all grades, all divisions are welcome to come to campus! Parents and students interested in having time to come in the buildings, see classrooms and lockers, take pictures, and casually visit with teachers and each other, are encouraged to come to the Open House on Monday morning. (Tuesday, August 25th is a regular school day, and there will not be much opportunity that day to visit.) After serving our community as Interim Head of School during the 2025–2026 school year, Ben officially steps into his new role, and we'd love for you to help us mark the occasion. The whole CDS community is invited to enjoy a cookout as we celebrate the start of an exciting new chapter together. Whether you're reconnecting with friends or meeting new faces, this is the perfect way to kick off the year as one community. The first day of school for everyone is Tuesday, August 25, 2026.Parents, on this day we'll have coffee on the Parent Patio outside the Spirit Store from 8:00 am – 9:30 a.m.
