Lily Everette has been playing baseball at CDS since she was in middle school, pursuing the sport she picked up when she was barely a year old, throwing and hitting with her dad in their backyard. But in 2022, the NCISAA ruled her ineligible, kicking off a months-long fight. On April 13, 2022, a week after a second appeal from CDS to the NCISAA, the news came. Though she will remain ineligible for the current season, she and other girls can play baseball in 2022-23.
