One Act - Time Enough

The Theatre Department at Carolina Day School is celebrating their participation in the 2020 NCTC High School Play Festival: Virtual Showcase. The theatre program, led by David Dvorscak, is presenting “Time Enough” in the Showcase. This year, theatre arts educators and students rose to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and presented their work virtually.

In an article published in the Center for Responsive Schools Journal for Social and Emotional Learning, Carolina Day teacher Alicia Cardina proposes that listening for the needs behind the questions is key in navigating the unknown while still delivering a meaningful educational experience to students.

Honors Papers 2019-20

Honors papers recognizes exemplary Academic Writing Across Upper School disciplines. This year's honors papers were written by Ada Dorie Miles, Amelia Ellsworth Sullivan, Lucinda Elisabeth Inés Marmolejos, Caroline Brett Koon, Zachary Lubin Philip, Westray Nicoll Keeler, Dylan Blue Richardson Dunn, Sofia Reeves Fox, Kathryn Olivia Laurel Wood, Henry Forbes Fowler, William Thomas McCollough, Julia Marina Matin, and Liza Joy Heck.

Carolina Day senior Chilly Curwen signs to cross country and track & field at UNC Asheville

The Carolina Day School community had a virtual signing ceremony celebration earlier this week for Chilton “Chilly” Curwen, who will pursue cross country and track & field at the college level. Curwen signed his national letter of intent with the Bulldogs, UNC Asheville’s NCAA Division I athletic program.
