She will attend UNC Wilmington and plans to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.

Carolina Day School students earned recognition in the Western North Carolina Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, part of the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious program for creative teens. At the 2025 Homecoming, our community celebrated the naming of two newly transformed campus spaces: the Rose Bowl amphitheater and McGregor Hall, the renovated Upper School. Made possible by a combined $3.5 million in gifts from the Rose and McGregor families, these landmark dedications mark the school’s first facility namings in a decade and represent a major step forward in advancing the campus master plan—creating spaces that foster learning, connection, and community pride.

Carolina Day School marked a poignant and joyful milestone today as its Pre-K students and Monarch Seniors joined together for the 31st annual Monarch Migration—a beloved tradition and the cornerstone project of the school’s Pre-K program. Carolina Day School's Sofía Carson continues making waves on the volleyball court. This summer, she achieved the remarkable honor of being selected for All State, where she helped lead her team to victory in the championship game. Sofía was also selected as an All American athlete, earning her the incredible opportunity to train and compete internationally.
