Carolina Day student Zoe Hewitt ’26 has been named a 2026 Cameron Impact Scholar, one of the nation’s most prestigious merit-based scholarships. Selected as one of just 15 students nationwide, Zoe is recognized for her leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to community service. She will attend UNC Wilmington and plans to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.

Carolina Day School students earned recognition in the Western North Carolina Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, part of the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious program for creative teens. This year, CDS students received Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention honors across both art and writing categories.

One Act, "Mix-Tech" Performance

Carolina Day School’s Upper School theatre students earned top honors for their original One‑Act, Mix‑Tech, at the North Carolina Theatre Conference. The student-created production stood out among sixteen entries, taking home three awards—including the coveted Playwriting Award—celebrating their creativity, teamwork, and talent.

A Legacy of Impact: Celebrating the Rose Bowl and McGregor Hall

At the 2025 Homecoming, our community celebrated the naming of two newly transformed campus spaces: the Rose Bowl amphitheater and McGregor Hall, the renovated Upper School. Made possible by a combined $3.5 million in gifts from the Rose and McGregor families, these landmark dedications mark the school’s first facility namings in a decade and represent a major step forward in advancing the campus master plan—creating spaces that foster learning, connection, and community pride.

Young students during Monarch Migration 2025

Carolina Day School marked a poignant and joyful milestone today as its Pre-K students and Monarch Seniors joined together for the 31st annual Monarch Migration—a beloved tradition and the cornerstone project of the school’s Pre-K program. This year’s celebration carried special meaning as it returned to its early fall timing on the anniversary of Hurricane Helene, which postponed last year’s event.
