JV Girls Basketball Get a W at Asheville School

Fri., Jan. 17 - CDS vs Asheville School, W 24-13

The JV girls traveled to Asheville School on Friday, January 17 for a late afternoon basketball contest. Buoyed by Madi Huffman's jump shot and Elsworth Sullivan's drives to the basket, the Wildcats pulled away in the second half from an energetic Blues team. Huffman and Sullivan both had 8 points. Taylor Monday gave the team a lift with 3 boards and 5 steals. Monday and Huffman connected on a hustle play to spark the 4th quarter scoring as Taylor saved the ball from going out of bounds, tipping it right to Madi who scored a layup. The bench, per usual, went wild. —Coaches Lammers and Husemann
