Three Carolina Day School students named NHSCA Academic All-Americans

Three CDS students have been named National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) Academic All-Americans for their efforts as student-athletes. Katie Rudins ’22 and Erin Hovendon ’22 have been selected for First Team for Cross Country and Track, and Ashlyn Browne ’21 received Honorable Mention recognition for Cross Country.

The National High School Coaches Association honors the nation’s finest student-athletes as High School Academic All-Americans. To qualify, nominees must carry at least a 3.6 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be highly decorated athletes in their sport. The NHSCA recognized First, Second and Honorable Mention teams for the first time this year.
