Get to know Trip Cogburn:
What do you like most about your job? "Honestly, my work at CDS doesn't feel like a job. Most days I can't wait to get on campus to see what adventures await. My fellow faculty members and our students challenge me to be at my best every day. Our work is important and meaningful but also lots of fun—life is too short not to enjoy every moment."
How would you describe your approach to your job in 10 words or less? "Build meaningful relationships and the rest will follow."
What is your favorite quote about education?
"Stick to the task till it sticks to you;
Beginners are many, but enders are few.
Honor, power, place, and praise
Will come in time, to the one who stays.
Stick to the task till it sticks to you;
Bend at it, sweat at it, smile at it too;
For out of the bend and the sweat and the smile
Will come life's victories, after awhile."
