Adriel Reed teaches Grade 4 Multisensory Math in the Key School and has been with CDS since 2022.
After graduating college in 2002 with an Honors degree in English Literature, Adriel went on to obtain a North Carolina K-6 Teacher Certification from the University of North Carolina, Asheville in 2004. Since then, she’s been teaching students in many different capacities—in her own classrooms, tutoring, volunteering, and substitute teaching. Adriel completed the Multisensory Math coursework at Key Learning Center and also obtained her Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator Certification in 2021.
Adriel grew up in the Western North Carolina mountains, and though she’s moved away a few times, she has always come back home to Asheville. She lives with her husband, two children, and their two dogs. Outside the classroom, Adriel loves to go on hikes with her family, bake yummy things with her kids, and read a good book while eating dark chocolate. Besides the time she spends with her family, Adriel feels true happiness in the classroom teaching, where she is able to facilitate students’ learning.
