Elise Parker teaches Grade 3 Multisensory Math, Science, and Social Studies in Key School. She joined Carolina Day School in 2021. Elise is a member of the Key Learning Center (KLC) teacher training team, has completed the Associate and Certified Level O-G coursework with KLC, and the KLC Multisensory Math coursework. She has 10+ years of classroom experience, 5+ years as an Orton-Gillingham educator, and 6+ years facilitating children’s meditation and mindfulness.  She holds a BFA from Western Carolina University.

One of her favorite quotes is, "Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.”

Elise grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York and has lived in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina for the past 23 years. She is the proud parent of two beautiful teenage daughters, both of whom have had their own unique struggles and triumphs in their academic journeys. Education is her “joy,” as she is able to support, nurture, and encourage children.
