Susan White has been a writer and lover of stories for most of her life. She is the English Department Chair and has taught many courses at Carolina Day School: Rhetoric and Composition 1, Literature and Composition, Creative Writing, Sports in Literature, Wit Lit, Biosocial Ethics and Motives, and AP Literature and Composition; she also advises SLAMM (Society of Literature, Art, Music, and Media), a student club that produces the school’s annual literary magazine. She has published numerous poems, essays, and short stories in various journals and anthologies. She particularly enjoys writing humorous pieces, which is why she relishes her Wit Lit course.
