Charlotte Greene has been working at Carolina Day School since 2003. Before teaching in the classroom setting, she spent many years as an outdoor/environmental educator. She has served as 6th Grade Chair and has been a member of numerous CDS committees. Charlotte was the recipient of the Melissa Ogden award in 2016.

What do you like most about your job at CDS? “Colleagues that inspire me with their dedication to education. You will often find teachers in the workroom sharing new ideas, discussing strategies that worked well in the classroom, and commenting on successes that students have achieved with new lesson plans.”
How would you describe your classroom? “My classroom is a place where students can tell that I have their best interests at heart. I foster an environment where learning is celebrated and curiosity is encouraged. My students know that I am here to support them, and that I will put in the extra effort to help them succeed.”
How would you describe yourself and/or your approach to your job in ten words or less? “A patient and caring teacher with a positive attitude.”
