The Tae Kwon Do class is testing for new belts. Upper School science teacher and Tae Kwon Do instructor, Joanne Bartsch, says she teaches in a traditional style with a focus on learning forms and techniques for self-defense, rather than competition.

In STEM class, students used their knowledge of angles to have a fun, hands-on challenge. The students built a foam rocket, added fins and a rubber band, and then they used a meter stick to launch their rockets.

Ms. Ogle, Mrs. Heskamp, and 10 Middle School Spanish students went on a service-learning tour through Peru. The group worked alongside residents of a village in the Sacred Valley of the Andean Highlands to help build a workshop for artisans. They also donated soccer balls to children of the village.
