Applications are welcome for all grades, but some grades are fully enrolled. We communicate with inquiring and applying families to let them know whether spaces are available in a non-entry grade.
We suggest that families applying for non-entry grades submit their application and supplemental materials early, however, so we can act quickly if spaces become available.
By September 1, a student must be:
4 years old for Pre-K
5 years old for Kindergarten
6 years old for Grade 1
We recognize that this is an arbitrary date; however, the majority of public and private schools in the Asheville area use it.
Our goal is for students to be ready for school academically, socially, and emotionally. We suggest that families let us know if they have concerns about their student’s readiness for a certain grade.
Diversity adds quality to a community by cultivating a richness of ideas, a broadening of perspectives, and a respect for others. We are committed to building a faculty, student body, and school culture which reflect the diversity of the greater world around us.
